For all you moms out there... most of my hairdos are completed in the morning before school. Which means I am able to complete them in less than 20 minutes. I usually complete 2 in 30 minutes or less. Now, I obviously am used to doing things, even if there are new, my brain works a certain way, but here are a few hints....
1. dry, dirty hair is easier. If that is not possible than fully WET hair is the next best thing. When hair is only partially wet it is the hardest to style as it sticks together.
2. Doing hair at night is a great way to have your child read to you, share conversations, spend time together and you can make a few mistakes... then, they can sleep in the braid... in the morning, the idea and shape is already there... so all you have to do is a quick re-do. It bonds you.
3. If you have a child who tends to lose focus, or be a tad dramatic, make sure you practice hairdos when their favorite shows are on... also show them the hairdo BEFORE... let them see what you are doing and always name it something that they like... how do you think BARBIE braid got it's name :-)
